WHAT IS MEDICARE?
Medicare is a government insurance program for those who are 65 years or older, younger people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease. Medicare serves as a way to find insurance coverage that best fits the individual. And under the Affordable Care Act plans are required to include the following 10 essential health benefits (EHBs):

Within Medicare there are 4 main parts and in short they cover the following:

Part A

Inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some health care

Part B

Doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and medical supplies

Part C
-
Otherwise known as Medicare Advantage this part is a hybrid of parts A and B with additional benefits

This part covers prescription drugs and serves as an add on to other plans
